I recently purchased a new computer and upon setup I accidently locked myself out of my microsoft account (the system asked me to create a new password and apparently I entered it incorrectly). Anyway, for the last four days I've been caught in an endless cycle of proving who I am by answering the security questions on your form such as my Xbox console ID, prior passwords used, my mothers place of birth, etc..... I have one email back from you stating that the account is mine and that instructions on how to reset the password will be sent to me. However, I never receive a follow up email. This then sends me back into the loop of having to prove once again who I am then never getting a follow up email on how to unlock the account. It's been four days and I still don't have access to my account. How can I get this account unlocked? Who can I call? Who can I write? How do I request a call? I'm apprehensive of posting my details here - so please let me know.

To recover your locked Microsoft account, you can follow these steps:

    1. Use the Account Recovery Form: If you are caught in a loop of answering security questions, ensure you are using the correct account recovery form. You can try accessing the recovery options through the Microsoft account recovery page.
    2. Check Your Email: Make sure to check your spam or junk folder for any emails from Microsoft regarding your account recovery. Sometimes, important emails can be filtered incorrectly.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you continue to have issues, you can contact Microsoft Support directly for assistance. You can find the appropriate contact information for your region at the Microsoft support page. This may include phone numbers or live chat options.
    4. Be Patient: Account recovery can sometimes take time, especially if there are multiple verification steps involved. Make sure to give it some time after submitting your recovery request.

If you are still unable to recover your account, consider reaching out to Microsoft through their official support channels for further assistance.
