    Hello @Scott Blair ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. The “Site is not secure” message usually indicates an SSL certificate validation issue. Common causes include an incorrect system clock, outdated browser cache/cookies, or local security software interfering with HTTPS connections.

    Please try the steps below:

    1. Check and correct your system date/time

SSL certificates are time sensitive. If your PC clock is incorrect, the certificate may appear expired or invalid.

    Internet Explorer certificate errors

    • Right-click the taskbar clock → Adjust date/time.
    • Enable Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.
    • If needed, manually select the correct time zone.
    • Restart your PC and try visiting the site again.

    1. Clear browser cache and cookies

Old or corrupted cached data can trigger SSL or mixed-content warnings.

    • Open Edge → Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data.
    • Choose All time, then select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    • Click Clear now.
    • Restart Edge and retry accessing the site.

If the issue persists after these steps, please let me know so we can investigate further.

If you are encountering a "site is not secure" issue on your new Windows 11 computer, it may be due to several reasons, including incorrect date and time settings, issues with your internet connection, or problems with the browser itself. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Date and Time Settings: Ensure that your computer's date and time are set correctly. Incorrect settings can cause SSL certificate validation errors.
      • Right-click on the time in the taskbar and select "Adjust date/time" to verify and correct the settings.
    2. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, cached data can cause issues with loading secure sites. Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
      • In Microsoft Edge, go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data.
    3. Disable Extensions: Some browser extensions can interfere with secure connections. Try disabling all extensions to see if that resolves the issue.
      • Go to Settings > Extensions in Microsoft Edge and disable them.
    4. Reset Network Settings: If the problem persists, resetting your network settings may help. This can be done through the Settings app under Network & Internet.
    5. Update Windows and Edge: Ensure that both Windows and Microsoft Edge are up to date, as updates can fix bugs and improve security features.
      • Check for Windows updates in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    6. Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can block secure connections. Temporarily disable these to see if they are causing the issue.
    7. Try Another Browser: If the issue continues, try using a different browser to see if the problem is specific to Microsoft Edge.

If none of these solutions work, you may want to consider resetting Microsoft Edge or contacting support for further assistance.
