So Apple still provide me with Security Updates for my Mac based on Ventura Version as newest OS is said not to be compatible with my Hardware - Microsoft has released two recent Security Updates for the 5 apps under my £104.99/an subscription but wont update as it says I am not using the latest Mac OS (even though IT IS Up-To-Date)...so I am now using vulnerable Microsoft software.
So do I now (after all these years) cancel my subscription and go 100% Google Docs - not because its free but because I am now vulnerable and zero updates from Microsoft?
Why no security updates?...is this the death of Word Office 365?...most of my colleagues switched over to Google - its online and always available and is OK with my fully uptodate apple OS!
So some kind sole answered my question - thank you Dave??? - unfortunately Mr MicroSoft doesn't want to show me the answer (perhaps the mere mention of Google Docs being a better solution was not appreciated)...anyway...I get the fact that MicroSoft will only support the last 3 updates to Apple OS - the rate that these come through recently means this is <6mths - my point is Apple still supports/provides security updates MicroSoft don't - why bin $3,400 of desktop just to please Mr MicroSoft T&C's - Guess I will move to Google - its online and doesn't give a fig about my desktops features so long as its secure - so a journey that started with Word in 1998 now ends ...on well - that's progress and just btw - I don't live Admins that won't show any negative comments about their products - this is how real improvements can be made, by being real and saying it as it is....byebye...!!..(or major software that has zero official support, by contrast I can ring Apple and talk to (a lovely Irish person) apple support employee who has full access to all technical docs and (with my permission) jump on my Mac and fix things - that's real support not reliance on the goodwill of some techy folks willing to help out...just my pennies worth...!!..(or another nail in MicroSoft's coffin perhaps).
This is caused by your version of MacOS, Microsoft indicate Microsoft 365 is only supported on the last 3 versions of MacOS (Sonamo, Sequoia and Tahoe), while you can continue to use the Office apps, they will not be updated, also, Apple is ending support for Ventura later this month, so you would no longer receive security updates or bug fixes to Ventura after the 30th of this month.
