To use the Mach Destination Formatting feature in Excel, there are several methods you can use:
Method 1: With Paste icon
- First copy the cell or range of cells you want with Ctrl + C
- Select the destination cell and right click in that cell
- Under Paste Options there will be a series of icons. In that list, you will choose the Formatting (R) icon which having a paint brush
Method 2: With Paste special
- Using the same step in Method 1, you need to first copy the cell or range of cells you want with Ctrl + C and select the destination cell
- Go to the Home tab, under the Paste button there is a small arrow.
- After clicking that arrow, you will see a list of options, you can choose between these three which I highlight below
