I understand you want to reuse your Microsoft Office license key on a new computer after retiring the old one.
To do that:
- Sign in to your Microsoft account at Office.com/setupusing the same account you used to activate Office previously.
- Deactivate the old installation:
- Go to Services & subscriptions.
- Locate your Office product and select Manage → Deactivate for the old device.
- Install Office on the new computer:
- Download the installer from the same page.
- Run the setup and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Download the installer from the same page.
- Activate Office:
- If prompted, enter the same product key.
- Most retail keys are linked to your Microsoft account, so signing in usually activates it automatically.
- If prompted, enter the same product key.
