Insert pdf or file wordds

You are experiencing an issue with inserting files because the system only supports specific image file types for insertion. According to the guidelines, you can insert images in the following formats:

• JPG
• JPEG
• GIF
• PNG

However, PDF files and other document types are not supported for insertion. If you are trying to insert a PDF or a file in a format other than those listed above, you will receive an error message stating that the file cannot be inserted.

To resolve this issue, you can:

1. Convert the PDF file into an image format (like JPG or PNG) using a conversion tool.
2. Ensure that any images you are trying to insert are in one of the supported formats mentioned above.
3. Check the size of the files, as there are also limitations on file size for attachments.

If you follow these steps, you should be able to successfully insert images into your document.

Object Linking & Embedding [OLE] is not & never has been supported by Apple due to security concerns. OLE is supported only on the Windows platform.

If the PDF is a single page it can be inserted as a Picture using the Insert> Picture - From File command. On a Mac there's no need to convert it in any way.

If it's a multi-page PDF document it still can be inserted as a Picture but only the first page will display.
