I reject the automated AI answer because people who receive many files from trusted sources on a daily basis should not be required to unblock every file saved. Similar to browsers, an option for trusted sources should be provided.

KB ID: 5070960 - "File Explorer automatically disables the preview feature for files downloaded from the internet"
Please provide an option for trusted sources. This change to Preview is severely impacting my workflow as I receive many files from trusted outside sources daily, and I use Preview all day, every day. I now need to right-click every file that I receive, go to Properties and unblock them.
Also, please add an "Other" option to your tags and child tags for these posts. I could not find an appropriate child tag for this post.

Brad 0 Reputation points2025-12-11T11:01:12.28+00:00 I agree with the OP. This is the worst update ever. Nearly all the files I want to preview, I create myself and save on OneDrive which for some strange reason is an "internet source" even though the files are saved locally. Get rid of this!
