Hello, when my son signs into xbox it brings up the screen for me to sign in and give consent for him to play. When I select "this is xbox" and sign into this account. It just brings me to a gray screen doing nothing. And when i try to approve consent via my email on my phone it says

"somethings not working, its not you its us" ive been trying to fix this for 15 hours now my son can't play with his friends he is very upset. To my knowledge you are not having problems with the your servers and nobody else is experiencing this. I have tried everything, when i log onto my account to manage family saftey settings i click on “mange consent and it just brings me to an page that says Manage permissions

In the United States, South Korea, Brazil, and the EU, legislation requires that children have adult consent before creating an online account. You can use this page to manage the child accounts for which you provided consent. Learn more &.

To manage restrictions for your children, view your family settings&.

Both of those links just take me back to the Family Safety page. Please help as i have tried everything and nothing is working.he cannot play with any of his friends

My son cannot log in. After trying to log in on xbox so he could play with his friends a popup on the screen says this account needs consent. So i enter my email so i can approve it via email, but when i click the link they send they say somethings wrong, its not you its us.

So i have tried everything to get it to work. I thought removing him from the family and adding him back would work but i now cannot add him back. I send the invite to him, he clicks on it and logs in but then gets put back to the screen of parental consent. I log in to give consent and it says this account cannot give consent. I am 66 years old and am the organizer. Adult account. I can’t fix this weve never had this issue before. I have tried fixes online some people have my problem yet they can’t find solutions. I have reached out to Microsoft support but they are completely useless and propose unhelpful solutions. So i guess the only option is to wait until my son is 18 in February so he can play again?… then he won’t be a child anymore and this problem will go away.

Anyone else with this problem, there is no solution and you should give up.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with the parental consent process on Xbox. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

    1. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, clearing the cache and cookies in your browser can help resolve issues with web pages not loading correctly.
    2. Try a Different Browser or Device: If you're using a specific browser, try accessing the consent link from a different browser or device to see if that resolves the issue.
    3. Check Xbox Live Status: Occasionally, Xbox Live services may have outages or issues. You can check the Xbox Live status page to see if there are any ongoing problems that might be affecting your ability to give consent.
    4. Use the Xbox App: If you have the Xbox app installed on your phone or tablet, try using it to manage family settings and give consent instead of using a web browser.
    5. Contact Microsoft Support Again: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support again. Explain the steps you've already taken and ask if there are any known issues or additional troubleshooting steps they can provide.
    6. Wait for a System Update: Sometimes, these issues can be resolved with a system update. Keep your Xbox and any related apps updated to the latest version.

If none of these steps work, it may be worth waiting until your son turns 18, as you mentioned, but hopefully, one of these solutions will help you resolve the issue sooner.
