    Dear @Jaime Núñez,

Thank you for posting your reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. We are happy to assist.

I understand how important it is for you to display full URLs in chat messages, especially for technical discussions and clarity.

Currently, Teams automatically shortens long URLs in messages to improve readability and reduce visual clutter. This behavior is part of the product design and, at this time, there is no built-in setting or administrative option to disable URL truncation and show full URLs by default.

As a forum moderator, I do not have the authority to modify product functionality, as such changes are managed by the Microsoft Teams product team. However, I can provide a workaround that may help address your concern:

    • Paste as Plain Text: Use keyboard shortcuts to paste without formatting (Windows: Ctrl + Shift + V, Mac: Cmd + Shift + V).

We encourage you to submit feedback directly to Microsoft via the Teams app (Help > Give feedback), or through Feedback Hub by

Go to: Microsoft 365 Feedback Hub > Send Feedback > Describe your proposal in detail.

Sharing your experience through this channel is the most impactful way to advocate for a change that would benefit you and other users.

Thank you again for your patience and for bringing this to our attention. While I can't change the product's design, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions about its current functionality. Your perspective is important, and I’m confident it will support the continued development of the Teams experience.

If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to help. Thank you very much for your understanding and your cooperation.

Yes, but this "feature" sometimes truncates the actual URL as well. So that the URL you visit will have a "..." at the end, cutting off the last part and making the URL broken.

The workaround is to click the insert link icon in formatting options and paste the URL there. But this is a silly workaround...

This is SO INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. I have a bunch of URLs that I regularly paste into Teams where it's imperative that the receivers can read the end of the URL, specifically the items in the query string. Shortening them is so dumb.
