Hi Robert,
You do not need to reset your laptop. The most reliable fix for that kind of lag is to take Wi-Fi out of the equation and play on a wired connection.
Grab an Ethernet cable, plug your laptop directly into your router or modem, then in Windows 11 open Settings > Network and Internet and switch Wi-Fi to Off so the laptop uses only Ethernet. Confirm the network icon in the taskbar changes to the wired symbol. Launch the game and enable the network stats overlay in its settings so you can see ping and packet loss while you play.
If you prefer a quick Windows check too, press
Win+R, typecmd, pressEnter, then runping -n 20 8.8.8.8and look for stable times with0 percent loss.
If the stutter and hit-reg issues disappear or your ping stabilizes on Ethernet, the cause was wireless congestion or interference, not the PC. Keep using the cable for competitive play and you are set.
If nothing improves on Ethernet, tell me and I will guide you through the next fix.
