The directions above are for a Laptop.
For a Desktop PC the settings are controlled
by the Monitor settings from a menu.
Screen lighting is too bright

How do I change the brightness of my computer. When I go into settings. I am clueless as to where to go?

laptops+Desktops -- And yes, monitors in Desktop PCs has physical
buttons like in TVs to adjust the color. Check the monitor manual for it

Welcome. Apply these simple steps, can work for Wins 10 or 11
click > Start menu > select - Settings >> on the left-side > click "System"
now hit "Display" Drag the slide >> To left or right to adjust the brightness
