I don't know if that has anything to do with the Windows 10 eol enrollment, but I have always been logged in as Adminstrator,

but no longer. Now, for some unexplained reason. I am local

However, when I try to login to my Microsoft account, it rejects my password. I know the password is correct, because I just tested it to login to the Microsoft account page

https://account.microsoft.com/?refd=....microsoft.com.

ACCOUNTS3

I tried several times, and then this happened, several times. So, I don't know what to do next. Have you ever seen anything like this before?

    Welcome mr-2458,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. I am sorry to hear about your issue when you cannot login to Microsoft Account and you get the message "Opps, something went wrong".

The error or conflict during Microsoft account synchronization with the operating system causes the computer to fail to properly authenticate the password on the device, even though the password is correct when logging in via the web.

You can try a few steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Option 1: Fix temporary account sync or sign-in problems.

    • Open Settings > Accounts > select Your info > scroll down and find Give Feedback
    • At the bottom-left corner of that screen, you will see a Sign in button.
    • Click on the Sign in button.
    • Enter your Microsoft account email and password to sign in again.

After signing in successfully, this will refresh your account connection on the PC and often fix the "Oops, something went wrong" error.

    Option 2: Create Local account.

    • Press Windows + I to open Settings
    • Go to Accounts → choose Family & other users
    • Under Other users, click Add account
    • In the Microsoft account window, click I don't have this person's sign-in information
    • Then select Add a user without a Microsoft account
    • Follow the prompts to create a local account (username and password)
    • Sign in your account into the new Local account you have created

I'm here to help if you need further assistance or if these steps don’t work. Please let me know, and I’ll guide you through the next steps.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Thank you for responding.

I can now login, however I have a secondary problem. I do not wish to use a lockscreen login of any kind, but following the account login, you are asked t create a pin. If you do not, the system automatically sets up a lockscreen account password login, without informing you.

I need to learn the steps to eliminate any sort of lockscreen login process before I reboot my OS.

When I went to Sign-in options, and disabled the pin, it still imposed a lockscreen account password login without informing about the consequences of disabling the pin.

I restored a Macrium image backup so I could start over with the MIcrosoft account sign-in process from the beginning.
