Excel on Mac Freeze Rows & Columns not working correctly - functioning more like split

Using Excel on Mac with Mac OS Tahoe 26. Freeze Pane function is not working correctly. After freezing, rows and columns scroll above and below frozen row or left and right of frozen column depending on location of cursor when scrolling. It functions more like the split function without the grey border line. No rows or columns are actually frozen. I've tried unfreezing and refreezing multiple times with no correction. Appears to be a bug in the Excel software since upgrading Mac OS. When is a fix coming?

I never adopt a new edition of macOS until it's 2nd or 3rd major revision so I haven't installed Tahoe but I've seen a number of reported UI issues arriving with Tahoe & certain Office updates.

Make sure you have Tahoe fully updated [26.0.1] & Office updadated to 16.102.2 [Current Channel (Preview)].

If the issue persists in more than one workbook use Help>Feedback in the Excel menu to report the problem to the development group.
