In New Outlook
Review inbox rules
- Settings > Mail > Rules: disable any rule that moves to a folder or deletes based on sender/subject keywords. Export or screenshot your rules, then toggle Off to test.
Sweep / Clean up
- Inbox > Sweep: remove any Sweep configuration that auto‑moves/deletes from specific senders.
Recover deleted Items
- Deleted Items > Recover items deleted from this folder. If you see them here, a rule or policy is deleting them.
Search broad
- Search All folders with All time; toggle Include results from Deleted Items.
Review retention policies
- Settings > Mail > Retention policies: disable any policies that moves to a folder or deletes based on sender/subject keywords.
