Home Office 2014 purchased in UK and account indicates redeemed in USA. Unable to use

Trying to help my friend who purchased Home Office 2014 for his Apple Mac. He downloaded and redeemed his product which will now only allow read only.

On looking in to his Microsoft account where he purchased the Home Office 2024 it has 2 lines. The top line says it was paid with redeemed code in USA, the second line indicates it was ordered and paid for in British Pounds and order completed.

I have downloaded and installed the Office program for his MAC and where the product key is asked for it indicated it has already been used and will not progress any further. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and same issue occurs.

Can anyone assist?

    He isnt sure how he did it.

    Have resolved his issue by downloading the correct Office software.
