Assistance Needed: Unknown Family Organizer in Microsoft Family Group

Dear Microsoft Support,

I am seeking assistance regarding an issue with my Microsoft Family account. I recently discovered that I am listed as a member in a Microsoft Family group, but the Family Organizer is someone I do not recognize and is not part of my actual family.

I am unable to leave the group or make any changes to the organizer settings. I am concerned this may be due to unauthorized access or a mistake in account linking.

Could you please help me:

  • Remove myself from this family group
  • Investigate how this organizer was added
  • Ensure my account security is intact

I have already checked my account activity and changed my password as a precaution. Please let me know what steps I need to take next.

    Since you have already changed your password, I recommend the next step is to contact Microsoft Support live chat for further assistance about the issue.

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support 
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below. 
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account. 
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm 
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.
