OneNote has become unusable on Android since the dual cursor bug appeared with Android 14. Two dots show up when editing, making it impossible to write, select, or copy text. This affects both the app and mobile browser.

I’ve used OneNote for decades and rely on it daily. I’ve tested every workaround for months. I’m exhausted. I need a working version for Android now – not vague silence.

I’ve built a rock-solid, beautifully syncing cross-platform system using non-Microsoft tools – not because I wanted to, but because Microsoft forced me to. I still need OneNote, but you’ve made it impossible to use (on Android).

Microsoft must: – Acknowledge the bug publicly – Provide a timeline for the fix – Offer a rollback or workaround

This issue breaks trust and pushes loyal users away. Please respond.

    Hi There,

Thank you for sharing your concern, and I truly appreciate your long-standing commitment to OneNote. I’m really sorry to hear how disruptive the dual cursor bug has been for you on Android 14 it’s understandable to feel exhausted after months of trying workarounds without success. This issue, where two cursors or dots appear while editing, is a known compatibility problem between OneNote’s text input handling and Android 14’s updated keyboard and rendering system. It affects both the OneNote app and the mobile browser version, making it nearly impossible to write, select, or copy text. Unfortunately, this has severely impacted productivity for many users, especially those like you who rely on OneNote daily.

Microsoft hasn’t yet released an official fix or workaround, and I know how frustrating that silence can be especially when you’ve invested years into building a workflow around OneNote. I strongly recommend submitting feedback through the OneNote app’s Help & Feedback section or the Microsoft Feedback Hub. The more visibility this issue gets, the faster it can be prioritized.

You're not alone in this, and your feedback matters. Let me know how I can support you further.
