Is OneNote not able to see Outlook meetings anymore?

After an upgrade to Version 2509 (Build 19231.20156 Click-to-Run) and seemingly just like this email-to bug, my problem just started last week.

When attempting to add Outlook Meeting Details to OneNote, none of the meetings are displayed. No error messages, just a change in behavior. image Is this intentional because of the new "stricter compliance regulations", a coincidence, or the same/similar bug?

Hello, I'm from the OneNote team. I apologize for this issue - our team is aware of it, and a fix has been made and will be available in a future update to Office.

    Dear @Paulo Vianna,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you’re seeing an empty Insert Outlook Meeting Details pane in OneNote after upgrading to Version 2509 (Build 19231.20156 Click-to-Run), and this behavior started recently without error messages.

After researching, here are some information and workaround may be helpful that you can try:

Microsoft announced that some features was retired for older OneNote versions (Windows 10 app, Mac builds <16.95) as part of the Secure Future initiative.

You can try some workaround to check whether the issue can be resolved:

    1. Confirm App Versions
      • Ensure you’re using the latest OneNote desktop app (not OneNote for Windows 10, which loses Meeting Details after June 2025).
      • Check Outlook version—prefer the Classic Outlook if integration is critical.
    2. Repair or Reset Office
      • Use Online Repair via Control Panel → Programs → Office → Change → Online Repair.
      • Or you can right click to icon app --> choose App Settings then choose Repair or Reset app
      • User's image
    3. Clear OneNote Cache
      • Delete cache folder (e.g., %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneNote) and restart.
    4. Test Workarounds
      • Open Classic Outlook alongside New Outlook before inserting Meeting Details.
      • If urgent, manually copy meeting info or use Send to OneNote from Outlook ribbon.
    5. Try to uninstall then reinstall OneNote to check whether the issue still persists or not

I hope information above helpful, if you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out.
