Hello @Des Norton-Somers,
Good day! Thank you for posting your valuable question on Microsoft Q&A forum.
The error message "This channel has been deleted" indicates that the class (which was likely set up as a channel within a Team) has been removed, either manually by someone with permissions or possibly due to a policy or retention rule.
Here are a few steps you can take to try to recover it:
- Go to the team that the channel was in and click More options > Manage team.
- After opening your Teams view, click More options (or 4 more,...), then select Manage team. Check under Deleted channels, and also review the Archived and Hidden sections to ensure your class isn’t listed there.
- If your class appears in the list, click Restore to reactivate it.
Please note that Channels can be restored within 21 days of deletion, but no new channels can be created with the same name as the deleted channel within that 21-day window.
For your information, please check Delete a channel in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support
Please let me know if you try these steps but still cannot find your channel, I'll try to provide you with further troubleshooting steps.
