Hello, I have researched for help on this everywhere and would like to please request assistance.

I subscribed to a calendar on Outlook and it is NOT showing as a separate calendar. It is MERGED and events are syncing into my default "My Calendar" view. I would like to delete or remove the subscription and am unable to. When I right click either on the web, app, or phone version -- it does not show any option. I am unable to find the subscription calendar on outlook to delete it. I cannot delete the entire "My Calendar" calendar. Please provide guidance. Thank you!

    Hi @Diana Sieh,

Thanks for using Microsoft product and posting in the Microsoft Q&A. I understand the frustration you're experiencing with a calendar subscription that has embedded itself directly into your primary "My Calendar" view instead of appearing as a separate calendar. It's an uncommon but known problem.

Here is the most likely solution to find and remove this hidden subscription, please follow it carefully.

Step 1: Remove via Outlook on the Web

    1. Go to Outlook.com and open your Calendar.
    2. Click the Settings (gear) icon > View all Outlook settings.
    3. Go to Calendar > Shared calendars.
    4. Under "Calendar subscriptions," find the problematic subscription.
    5. Click the Trash can icon to delete it.

After you remove it, please be patient. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours for all the synced events to be removed from your "My Calendar" across all your devices. Refreshing your browser or restarting your Outlook app can sometimes speed this up.

If the Subscription is Not Found on the Web

If the above doesn't work, the subscription might be managed within the Outlook desktop application. Here is how to find them

    • Check the List View: In your calendar, right-click "My Calendars" and select View List. See if the subscription appears there. If so, right-click it and choose Delete.
    • Check Account Settings: Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.... Click the Internet Calendars tab. If you see the subscription there, select it and click Delete.
    • Click Close and restart Outlook.

Step 2: Reset the Calendar View

If the subscription is corrupted and not appearing in any list, we can reset your calendar view to its default state. Please be assured this action will not delete any of your personal events or calendars; it only resets display preferences (like order and color).

    1. Close Outlook completely.
    2. Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
    3. Type the following command exactly: outlook.exe /cleanviews
    4. Press Enter. This will launch Outlook with all default views restored.
    5. Return to the Calendar module and check the folder pane on the left. The subscription may now be visible as a separate calendar, allowing you to right-click and delete it.

Please try these solutions in the order provided and let me know if any of them help resolve the issue. If the problem persists after trying all these methods, we can explore further troubleshooting steps.

    Best regards,

    Hi Diana Sieh,

    Thanks for the update.

When you click the Settings gear, a new window should pop up that looks like this:

    User's image

If yours looks different, could you please send a screenshot and let me know your Outlook version? That'll help me figure out what's going on so I can assist you better.

    Warm regards,

I recall pasting a web link (URL)! I copied the link and subscribed to it through Outlook, but instead of labeling it as a separate calendar, it just looped and merged with "My Calendar"!

I have the same issue. Mine was a calendar of events for my daughter's college (finals, etc). It is not a separate calendar but imbedded in my default work calendar. Are there any other suggestions?
