The notifications for Teams including messages, incoming calls, and meeting started notifications do not make sound. They do pop up in the corner. Outlook sounds work, have confirmed computer volume is up. When I do answer a call I can hear the person and the person can hear me.

Teams Notifications is enabled.

I already checked: Select Start > Settings > System > Notifications & actions

I already cleared Teams desktop app cache (delete all contents) via the RUN dialog box:
%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams

    Hi @BarryK

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Thank you for the detailed information. To help troubleshoot the issue with Teams notification sounds, could you please review your notification settings in Teams? Below are a few key areas to check:

Open Teams desktop app > click on the three dots next to your profile > select setting > select Notifications and activity

In the Notifications and activity pane:

    • Check if the Mute all notifications (except for calls and meetings) toggle is off.
    • In the sound section, make sure the boxes of the Play sounds options are ticked

    • Scroll down to the Meeting section, make sure the Meeting start notifications toggle is on.

If after checking all the notification settings and the issue persists, you can try the following steps:

    1. Use Teams on the web to see if the issue persists.
    2. Uninstall and Reinstall Teams:

To uninstall Teams, you need to uninstall two items. Follow the steps below to fully uninstall Teams.

    • Quit Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and choosing Close window.
    • In Windows, click on the Start button  , > Settings > Apps.
    • Under Apps & features, search "teams".
    • Highlight Microsoft Teams, then select Uninstall.
    • A box will appear, then again select Uninstall to confirm. A new box will appear, asking Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Select Yes.
    • Now select Teams Machine-Wide Installer, click Uninstall. Then follow the same process described in the previous step

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

    Look forward for your response.
