    Dear @Paul Ebert,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Community.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble adding your Outlook account to your new phone.

To help us narrow down the issue and guide you to the correct solution, could you please provide a bit more information?

    • Is the Outlook account you're trying to add a personal account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com) or an organizational account (e.g., from your company or school)?
    • Can you successfully access your Outlook account on a web browser (via outlook.com)?
    • Have you enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) or an Authenticator app on your account?

In most cases where the account is provided by an organization, the best course of action is to contact your company's IT department. They have the administrative tools to verify your account status and reset your authentication methods, which often resolves these issues.

For a personal account, the answers to the questions above will help us determine the next steps, as the issue could be with 2FA, a security setting, or a simple app-related glitch.

Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward for your reply.

Please clarify what you are trying to do ... Are you trying to install Outlook for Android on your phone?

Or are you trying to add an outlook.com account to the built-in mail app on your phone?
