Best thing I did because I have a Dell computer; called Dell and they told me how to get around BitLocker. Also, they pointed out this issue with Microsoft is ongoing and has been happening for a couple of years.

When I started my device, it prompted me for my BITLOCKER recovery ID. after inputting, the system indicates diagnosing, then attempts to connect to network. After a brief time system says cant connect and sets a timer for 30 mins. I have tried connecting several times and tried to Ethernet cable to router . same problem keeps occuring.
please advise how to get out of this loop?

2025-11-13T08:19:16.4+00:00 Im afraid that after 2 hours on the phone to Microsoft and going round and round in circles I had to take my computer to Currys (UK microsoft) as it was in warrenty and they basically just wiped it. (that took a month so was without a computer all that time!) To add insult to injury my son's computer had the same issue yesterday.
