I'm trying to remove my child from Microsoft Family Safety entirely, but it will not allow me to do so. I have gone into Microsoft Family Safety with my family organizer account, but when I click on my son and select "remove from family group" I'm told that I cannot remove him because "Family members under statutory age need an adult's consent to join a family group. Only the adult that granted consent for Z***** can remove this family member. Ask the family organizer who granted Z***** consent to remove Z*** from the family group." The only other family organizer in our group is my husband, but when we log on under his family organizer account and try to remove my son, we get the same message. There is no other account that would have granted him access. I contacted Microsoft chat support, but was told my problem was outside their expertise, and they kicked me over here. Is there a phone number I can use to contact support and get some help on this? I bought a copy of Minecraft for my son that's he unable to access because of the Family Safety protections, and I'd like to get him removed from it so he can use what I bought for him.

    Hello,

Go back to your Microsoft account https://account.live.com

Click on the name tile of your child and then click on Manage Consent, on the next page, delete/remove the consent first. After that, you can head back to what you were doing, to remove your child as family member. It should let you once the consent is removed.
