I have automatic hide on my taskbar, it's very convenient when it comes to having a full screen, but still being able to access the taskbar without it being in the way. But lately, when I'm in full screen, it has not been showing up over the tab, like I could see it on a tiny sliver on the bottom of my screen, but it's not going over the tab; it still works when I'm not in full screen mode. I did a little research earlier, and this has been a problem for everyone. I don't understand why this has not been fixed; it was fine on an earlier update. Is it supposed to be an improvement? Is it an error? why is that problem there in the first place? I just want to know how to fix this.

    Hello,

Thank you for your question. If the taskbar auto-hide feature isn’t working as expected, it’s often due to minor system glitches or settings conflicts. Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Restart Windows Explorer

    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
    • Find Windows Explorer, right-click, and select Restart.
    • This refreshes the taskbar and often resolves the issue.

    2. Check Taskbar Settings

    • Go to Settings → Personalization → Taskbar → Taskbar behaviors.
    • Make sure Automatically hide the taskbar is enabled.
    • If it’s already enabled, turn it off and back on to refresh the setting.

    3. Disable Notification Badges

    • In Taskbar behaviors, uncheck Show badges on taskbar apps.
    • Badges can sometimes prevent auto-hide from working.

    4. Run System File Checker

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:
      sfc /scannow
        DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Restart your PC after completion.

    5. Check for App Conflicts

Some apps keep the taskbar visible. Close background apps one by one or perform a clean boot to isolate the issue.

    6. Update Windows and Drivers

    • Install the latest Windows updates.
    • Update your graphics drivers via Device Manager or your GPU vendor’s site.
