QR code in Forms not working

I created a survey in Forms to evaluate an orientation session. I provided the QR code from the Forms screen to attendees but some respondents found the QR code did not work. In some cases they were taken to a screen to log in or create a Microsoft account or to a screen to purchase Office.

I had tested the QR code myself and found it took me directly to the survey.

How can I ensure the QR code will work for everyone taking the survey?

Hi! Can you validate if everyone is having the same trouble, or there are few people that can access the QR code and selected few requires log-in?

If all of them having issues, please proceed with the troubleshooting below.

You need to change the permissions to ensure anyone with the QR code can respond.

    • Open your form in Microsoft Forms.
    • Click the "Collect Responses" button (top-right).
    • Under "Send and collect responses", make sure to select:
      • Anyone can respond
    • After selecting "Anyone can respond", copy the new link or QR code.

You can test it if your another device with another account.
