We bought microsft 365 family, and our account is shareed between me and my wife. However, my wife can not sign in the microsoft apps by her acount. When she try to sign in microsoft, it always has a pop up in which show that she need the permission of parent, although she is adult.

I contacted Microsoft support team to try to solve this isssue. But they informed me that "My wife account is not added as adult or parent account". So please help me to fix this issue.

    Thanks for the update.

Re-sign in to Office and Apps:

    1. On her device, go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts, remove her Microsoft account from there.
    2. Then re-sign in to:

    Office apps (Word, Excel, etc.)

    OneDrive

    Microsoft Store

    Hello ,

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

    1. Go to https://family.microsoft.com
    2. Sign in with your Microsoft account (the one used to set up the Family subscription)
    3. Find your wife’s account listed there.

    If she appears under "Children":

    1. Click on her profile > select "Remove from family group"
    2. Confirm removal.

Add her again as an Adult

    1. From family.microsoft.com, click "Add a family member"
    2. Enter your wife's email
    3. Select "Member" and make sure “Adult” is chosen
    4. She’ll receive an invitation - ask her to accept it.

Now her account will be marked correctly as an adult, and Microsoft apps should stop asking for parent permissions.

After trying above steps, please reach out to me if you have any doubts or issues
