I have connected the one drive excel sheet to the Power Bi the excel sheet contains data from Forms but the responses from forms don't sync with excel sheet unless it is refreshed or opened manually once. Is there a way to go about with it without having to manually refresh the excel file daily?

    Hello ADH,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with syncing Microsoft Forms responses to an Excel sheet connected to Power BI. We completely understand how frustrating it can be to manage data flow disruptions, especially when juggling multiple platforms. Let’s explore tailored solutions to resolve this issue effectively:

    1. Update to the New Forms Data Sync Solution:
Microsoft Forms provides an updated syncing mechanism for linked Excel files, ensuring responses sync automatically without manual effort. Open the Excel file connected to your Form in Excel for the Web. Look for a prompt offering an update to the syncing mechanism. Applying this ensures all new responses will automatically sync to your Excel file.
Steps: > Open the Excel file in Excel for the Web > Apply the syncing update prompt > New responses will automatically sync.
    2. **Use Power Automate for Automation:**Power Automate is a powerful tool to automate repetitive tasks. Set up a new flow in Power Automate those triggers whenever a new response is submitted in Microsoft Forms. Configure the flow to send the data directly to your Excel sheet. Additionally, add a step to ensure Power BI datasets refresh automatically whenever new data is added.Steps: > Create a new flow in Power Automate > Select Microsoft Forms as the trigger > Configure the flow to send responses to the Excel file > Add a step to refresh Power BI datasets automatically.
    3. Enable Scheduled Refresh in Power BI: Scheduled refresh ensures your Power BI reports are always up to date with the latest data. Navigate to the dataset settings in Power BI Service. Enable scheduled refresh and specify the frequency (e.g., hourly, daily). This keeps your reports updated without manual input.
Steps: > Open Power BI Service > Go to dataset settings > Configure Scheduled Refresh to update at regular intervals.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support:
If the issue persists, reach out to **** Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your setup and help troubleshoot any syncing problems.

We are here to provide any additional guidance or support you need throughout this process. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we appreciate your patience as we work together to resolve this matter.
