Hi, I’m Cherrelyn, an Independent Advisor I know how stressful this can be, especially when you're locked out and the Authenticator isn’t helping.

Here’s a clear path forward since you can’t get the code or access the MFA setup page:

Step 1: Try Alternate Sign-In Options

    Go to https://account.live.com/proofs/manage

-If you're signed in anywhere else, see if you can remove or update your security info from there.

Step 2: Use the Account Recovery Form

-If you can’t receive any code:

    1.Visit: https://account.live.com/acsr

2.Enter the locked email and a working contact email

3.Fill out the form with as much info as possible (past passwords, services used, subject lines, etc.)

This lets Microsoft verify your identity without Authenticator access.

Step 3: If You're in a Loop or Get “We're having trouble verifying”

It likely means the Authenticator is your only linked method, and Microsoft’s system is blocking access.

    Go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

-Select “Microsoft Account Login or Access”

-Ask for a live chat or callback

    • Share your recovery reference number (if you’ve submitted the form above)

Let me know if you need help writing what to say to support or filling out the recovery form. I’ll walk you through it!

    Warmly,

    Cherrelyn
