Regenerate QR code for my authenticator app

I lost my phone where I had setup my school account and need to generate a new QR code for my new phone.

I have read the instructions on the post https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/regenerate-qr-code-for-my-microsoft-authenticator/c9c975da-f8f5-48f5-b403-193fa3d66554

But after I open the Additional security verification link, it leads me to a verification step that require approval from Authenticator app, which is not usable for me now. And after I click 'I cannot use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now', it eventually still results in need to access the Authenticator app in my lost phone.

    Dear Jayleen_23,

    Good day.

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community.

According to your description, we understand that you are currently unable to pass multiple authentication, so you cannot re-generate the QR code login information.

Please understand that since this phenomenon involves account login, the help our forum can provide is very limited, so I suggest you to contact with your admin to disable your MFA to see if it can help.

    • Go to Office 365 admin center
    • select Users->Activeuser,
    • Then select an account, click Manage multifactor authentication

    Image

    • Then you can disable your MFA

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator

    Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply!

How could I figure out who is the admin of my account? And get contact with him/her?

I didn't find the page as the screenshot you shared, could you let me know how to go to that page?

    Thanks.
