I could not follow all of the steps. My phone has MS Authenticator installed and has both my Microsoft hosted exchange email address and my personal hotmail.com address. Interesting on my "new" Samsung A9+, when I add another address to MS Authenticator, the other address disappears (unlike my Samsung phone). So, Microsoft Outook on a new Android device cannot add a Microsoft hosted exchange personal mailbox. Of course, all of my hotmail.com and outlook.com email addresses added smoothly. Solid Error: Something went wrong. [5ssai]. below is a lot of other troubleshooting details including Error Code: 884576759
'Something went wrong. 5ssai.
I had an error with trying to send an email (Microsoft 365) on my android phone.
The send arrow was disabled. I deleted the email account.
I tried to add the account again and now it is coming up with 'Something went wrong. {5ssai}.

2024-12-03T07:19:15+00:00 having the same problem with outlook and the authenticator, working perfectly on s21 now s24 ultra error messages
Microsoft need to fix this problem. This is my work email account that I am unable to sync to my phoneUPDATE:- I have my family Microsoft account that I use for my work docs and I also have a Microsoft account that is run through my website and email provider THIS was the one that needed to be set up for emails on my phone
BUT the issue was it needed to be completed at the backend through my website provider because MICROSOFT had locked all external providers out of their system (by woopsy) and all necessary passwords to be reset
Oh and stay away from the Microsoft authenticator app - it is terrible -

2024-12-19T14:30:29+00:00 Sucks, but I signed in on Samsung Internet instead of Google Chrome and it worked. Still can't add to mobile app or access through Chrome but I can at least get to my emails now.
Hope this helps!
