    Hi Gina,

Thanks for writing us here in Microsoft Community.

I understand you're experiencing issues with syncing your Gmail sent items to Outlook. I know the importance of having those sent emails reflecting on your account. Allow me to help in any way I can. Let's work as a team together.

To better assist you, I'd like to clarify the following.

    1. Can you confirm if you are using the Outlook Classic or Outlook New version?
    2. When did the issue start and what changes have you made on the account so far?
    3. May we know if the Gmail account configuration is POP, or IMAP?
    4. Can you confirm what Office license are you using? Is it Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, Business, Enterprise, or Education?

While waiting for your confirmation, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue. *(*Note: The options we will share below if for Classic Outlook version. If you are using Outlook New, please send us a reply immediately.)

    1. Check Gmail Settings:
    1. Check if the Gmail account is properly added to Outlook.
    • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Email tab. Make sure that the Gmail account is listed and properly configured.
    1. Check if the "Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder" option is enabled in Outlook.
    • Go to File > Options > Mail > Save messages section.
    • Make sure that the option is checked.
    1. Check if the Gmail account is properly configured to save sent items.
    • Log in to your Gmail account and go to Settings > Accounts and Import > Send mail as.
    • Make sure that the "Save copies of sent messages in the Sent Items folder" option is checked.
    1. Repair Outlook:
    1. Check IMAP Settings in Outlook:
    • Make sure the folder “Sent Items” is subscribed.
    • Confirm that “Don’t save copies of sent items” is unchecked.
    • Set the root folder path to “INBOX”
    1. Try removing and re-adding the Gmail account in Outlook.
    • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Email tab.
    • Select the Gmail account and click Remove.
    • Then, click New and follow the prompts to add the account again.

These are the initial steps we can perform for now, Gina! If you run into a problem or if you need further assistance, do let me know so we can explore other options.

    Sincerely,

    Froilance T.

    Dear Froilance

It happens that outlook is not integrating tools in efficient uses. I experienced similar situations and tried your suggestions but still didn't work. Now... using seperated domains of my hotmail outlook and Gmail because of "sent missing Items". But thanks for your try.

In my windows 10 Dell laptop, I have simultaneously Outlook New and Outlook (Classic).

Outlook classic came as part of my Microsoft 365 subscription.

I am using both these versions of Outlook simultaneously in my laptop. Is there any problem in using both versions simultaneously in your PC?

Problems I am facing with Classic Outlook:

    • I am not able to see my gmail sent mails in the sent items folder.
    • Also not able to see my sent message in the folder even when I am now sending new mails.
    • I have 2 mail accounts, Gmail and the other of my company mail.. With both I can not see the sent mails in the folder.

    Problems with New Outlook:

    • I could add my gmail account, but can not add my company email account as I am getting some error message, while configuring.
    • Here I can see all my sent mails showing in the sent items folder !!! only for gmail.
    • The company email account, I am not able to add, even after giving all password and correct incoming and outgoing mail server details.

Kindly guide me if the reasons are known.
