Not able to delete/move channels

Why can´t I move/delete channels in a teams site? At first they were deleted, then they reappeared. And now I cannot move/delete them. Besides, I only see part of the channels and my colleagues see other channels, so the view is individual. I have tried from both the teams app and the Sharepoint site. On Teams all channels appear the same and on the same level. But from Sharepoint they are divided between "In channels" and "In site Library"

It seems like there might be some synchronization issues between Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, which can lead to inconsistencies in channel visibility and management. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problems:

    1. Make sure that you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Outdated versions may have bugs or lack the latest features and improvements.
    2. Verify that you have the necessary permissions to manage channels in Teams. If you are unable to move or delete channels, it could be due to insufficient permissions.
    3. Similarly, check your permissions on the SharePoint site associated with the Teams channels. Ensure you have the required rights to manage content.
    4. Teams relies on SharePoint for storing files and channel information. Sometimes, forcing a sync can resolve discrepancies. You can try signing out of Teams, closing the app, and signing in again to trigger a sync.
    5. The division between "In channels" and "In site Library" might indicate different views in SharePoint. Check your SharePoint site for the correct view, and ensure that your colleagues are using the same view.
    6. Instead of trying to move or delete channels from SharePoint directly, manage your channels within Teams. Right-click on the channel in the Teams app and explore options like "Edit" or "Delete." Changes made in Teams should reflect in SharePoint.
    7. Conversely, you can try managing channels directly in SharePoint. Navigate to the document library associated with your Teams site, find the Channels folder, and make adjustments there.
    8. Clear the Teams cache on your device to ensure that you are working with the latest data. You can do this by signing out of Teams, clearing the cache, and signing back in.
    9. In Teams settings, ensure that the correct SharePoint site is associated with your Teams channels. Go to Teams settings, select the team, and check the associated SharePoint site.

I'm glad we were able to assist you.

    Kind Regards,

    Adekunle
