Hello Ryeteacher,
* I am a Microsoft user like you, providing solutions to community members; I am NOT a Microsoft employee.
Unfortunately, the School Connection app in Microsoft Teams currently doesn't offer schoolwide communication functionalities. It focuses on providing parents with insights into their child's specific assignments and progress.
However, there are ways to leverage Teams for schoolwide communication, potentially eliminating the need for email and Remind:
- All School Team: You can create a specific team for the entire school. This team can have a "General" channel dedicated to school-wide announcements, news, and updates. Staff members can post important information, upcoming events, or emergency messages in this channel.
- Announcement Channels: Teams allow creating additional channels within a team. You could consider creating separate channels for different purposes, like "Parent Resources," "School Calendar," or "Club Activities." This keeps information organized and allows parents to follow channels relevant to their needs.
- Communication Features: Teams offer features like chat and meetings that can be utilized for schoolwide communication. You can host virtual town halls or Q&A sessions for parents through these features.
Hope this answers your questions.
