Teams Whiteboard not Visible to Channel Members

Hello

I have a Teams Group with approx 30 members.

Within the group, I have three channels which each have approx 10 of the 30 members.

I have created a number of Whiteboards within one of the channels for those 10 people to complete and add to at a time that suits them.

When I created the whiteboards I did not select to 'Post to the channel about this tab' before hitting save. I did so to avoid a Facebook style 'status update' notifying all channel members of the board, before it was ready.

However, the whiteboards are now created, but none of the channel members can see them.

Where they should be along the top, all they can see is 'Post' and 'Files'.

Even if I go to my Whiteboards in OneDrive and give access to all group members, they still can't see the whiteboards.

How do I give the channel members access to these whiteboards that I have already created and that are currently only visible to myself and other Group Owners?

Thank you,

    Hello Jess,

Sorry to hear your members still can't see the Whiteboard. The problem might be on their end. Have they tried using the web app to access the channel and see if the Whiteboard tab appears?

Additionally, have you attempted copying the Whiteboard link from OneDrive and pasting it to the channel?

I attached a video demonstrating the process of creating a Whiteboard and sharing the link in a channel. It also shows how a member can access the Whiteboard using the link. I hope it helps.

    Hi Didi

I tried to create a new Whiteboard via web browser option as suggested. Again, I did not select to 'Post to the channel about this tab' before hitting save.

Unfortunately, the Channel member who is testing this for me, still can't see it.

I appreciate yours and anyone else's continued help to fix this.

    Thank you,

    Jess

I tried creating a whiteboard for a channel and deselecting 'Post to the channel about this tab' but channel members were still able to see and collaborate on it. For testing purposes, can you try creating one on a channel using the web app, https://teams.microsoft.com/, and see if there's any difference?

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Didi

Thank you for your reply, however, that video / post does not help.

I have already set up a whiteboard and did not get the prompt to 'present or collaborate'. Probably because, as I stated, I did not select to 'Post to the channel about this tab' before hitting save.

Now that my whiteboard is all set up, I need to make it visible to all channel members so that they can collaborate and work on it.

    Regards,
