I opened a PDF document to find I was getting some advertisement for an Adobe product? I didn't open a PDF for this reason. I do not allow or even want to see Adobe's products or advertisements on my PC.

How can I permanently remove this unwelcome advertisement from the Edge browser when I open PDF documents?

Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

Is the advertisement part of the website you’re visiting or a pop up or is it on the PC itself?

If on Edge then I would suggest installing an adblocking extension like AdGuard or Ghostery.

The advertisement is built in when opening PDF documents in Microsoft Edge, as mentioned in this post:

I do not consent to having Adobe go through my PDF document, at no point in time do I want them to have anything to do with files on my computer, I do not trust Adobe after they began scamming customers with a subscription model.

I need a way to turn this advertising off permanently.
