Hi Team,

I have a licensed copy of co-pilot provided by my organization. I am trying to publish the agent created so that even the members with no licensed copy of co-pilot can use the agent via microsoft teams. However, while checking the steps, its clear that I need to publish the agent where I am unable to find this option anywhere. Could you please help?

    Dear Vrushali Patil,

Good day! Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using our services/ products. Based on your description, kindly try these following steps:

    1. Initial Publishing in Copilot Studio

Go to Home - Microsoft Copilot Studio and sign in.

    Select Your Agent

From the Home or Copilots tab, choose the agent you want to publish.

    Navigate to the Publish Section

    Once inside your agent:

Look at the top-right corner or side navigation menu.

You’ll see a button labeled Publish.

Click Publish, then confirm the action in the pop-up window.

Confirm the publishing action. This step makes the agent available for further deployment but does not automatically publish it to Teams.

    2. Connect to Teams Channel

Navigate to the Channels tab in the left panel.

Select Microsoft Teams & Microsoft 365 Copilot.

    Click Add Channel.

A configuration modal will appear. Fill in:

    • Display Name (what users will see)
    • Short Description
    • Icon (optional)
    • Authentication Method (choose based on your needs: Entra ID, No Auth, etc.)
    • Ensure authentication is configured:
      • Use Microsoft Entra ID for secure access.
      • If you want open access, select No authentication (not recommended for internal use).
      • For advanced control, use manual authentication and add scopes like Files.Read.All and Sites.Read.All

    You can:

    Option A: Install for Yourself

    • After publishing, you can install the agent directly in Teams to test it.

    Option B: Share Installation Link

    • Copilot Studio provides a link you can share with others.
    • Users can click the link to install the agent in their Teams app.

Option C: Submit for Admin Approval

    • To make the agent visible in the Teams App Store under “Built for your org”:
    • Submit the agent for approval via the Teams Admin Center.
    • Admins will review and approve it under Manage Apps.
    • Once approved, it will appear in the Built with Power Platform section
    • Click Next, then Publish.
    • Your agent is now connected to Teams and ready for testing or distribution.

    3. Share the Agent

    • Use the Share button in Copilot Studio to distribute the agent:
      • Share with specific users, groups, or everyone in your organization.
        • Ensure users have access to any linked SharePoint or OneDrive knowledge sources.

    4. Add to Teams App Store (Optional)

    • To make the agent discoverable by all users:
      • Submit it for admin approval via the Teams Admin Center.
      • Admins can feature it in the Built for your org section.
