Hi Abijit, I've been through this before and know how annoying it is. Ami gave a great breakdown already, but here are a few extra steps that helped in my case:

    Method 1: Clear Temporary Files

    1. Press Win + R, type %temp%, and hit Enter.
    2. Press Ctrl + A to select all files, then delete them.
    3. Skip any files that can't be deleted, that's normal.

Note: Check for conflicting software like Logitech G HUB, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS), overlays (e.g. Discord, GeForce Experience), or VPNs — these can interfere with Roblox’s launch or cause it to crash. Close or disable these apps before launching Roblox.

Method 2: Reinstall Visual C++ Redistributables

    1. Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
      • Look for entries like:
      • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable (x86/x64)
      • Right-click and uninstall each one.
    2. Visit Microsoft’s official download page. under "Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable version". Download both:
    • x64
    • x86
    1. Once downloaded, run each installer. Choose Repair if already installed, or proceed with a fresh install.
    2. Please restart your PC afterward.

Method 3: Full Reformat (If nothing else works)

If the issue persists, you may need to reformat it as a final solution. Since none of the above steps resolve the issue, here's how to reformat Windows 11 on the same PC: (Please let me know if you’re using Windows 10 instead, and I can adjust the steps for that.)

    1. Make sure all important files are saved to an external drive or cloud storage.,
    2. Press Windows + I to open the Settings menu.,
    3. Go to System > Recovery.,
    4. Under Recovery options, click Reset PC.
    5. Select Remove everything (to completely reformat) or Keep my files (to keep personal files but reinstall Windows). For a full reformat, select Remove Everything.,
    6. Select either Cloud download or Local reinstall. Cloud download requires an internet connection and may provide the latest version.,
    7. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm and start the reset. If you select Remove Everything, this will erase all data.,
    8. Once the reset is complete, Windows 11 will reinstall, and you will need to go through the initial setup process, like selecting your region and setting up your account, etc..

This will provide a fresh installation of Windows 11 and effectively reformat your PC. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance.

    Hello, Abijit P.D

    Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A

Thanks for your feedback. I read your description of the problem and I understand the trouble it caused you.

According to your description of the problem, the problem can be divided into two levels:

    1. Problems with the Roblox application itself: This may be caused by damaged game files, incompatible drivers, or conflicts with third-party software.

    1. Problems with Windows core services: "Windows Error Reporting Service" (WerSvc) is a core system service that should not "disappear". Its absence indicates that your Windows system may have file corruption or misconfiguration.

I suggest you try the following methods to troubleshoot the error, which may help your current problem.

Method 1: Repair core system problems

    1. Press the Win + R keys on the keyboard to open the "Run" dialog box.

Type services.msc and press Enter to open the "Services" window.

In the service list, carefully look for the service named "Windows Error Reporting Service".

    If you can find it:

Double-click it to open the properties.

Make sure its Startup Type is Manual (Trigger Start).

If the service status is Stopped, click the Start button.

    Click Apply and OK.

If you can't find it at all: This means that the system files or registry entries related to the service are severely damaged, so proceed to the next step immediately.

Method 2: Run System File Checker and DISM, a combination of tools that can scan and repair most damaged or missing Windows system files.

    1. Search for "cmd" or "Command Prompt" in the Start menu.

Right-click on the search result and select "Run as Administrator".

In the black window that opens, enter the following command and press Enter:

    sfc /scannow

Wait for the scan to complete, and regardless of the results, enter the following command and press Enter to repair the system component store:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

After completion, restart your computer. After restarting, you can check services.msc again to see if the "Windows Error Reporting Service" has been restored.

    Method 3: Fix Roblox crashes

    1. Uninstall Roblox Player normally via Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.

After uninstalling, manually delete the remaining folders. Press Win + R, then enter and enter the following two paths respectively, and delete the Roblox folders in them:

%localappdata% (find and delete the Roblox folder)

%appdata% (check if there is a Roblox folder, if so, delete it)

    Restart your computer.

Download the latest installer from the Roblox official website and reinstall it.

Incompatible or corrupted graphics card drivers can also be the number one culprit for game crashes.

    1. Download the free Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) tool (you can download this tool online) and download the latest driver from the official website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD or Intel).

Restart your computer and enter safe mode.

Run DDU in safe mode, select your graphics card brand, and click "Clean and restart".

After the computer restarts normally, install the latest driver you downloaded. In the installation options, select "Custom" and check "Perform a clean install".

Method 4: If you use a third-party antivirus software other than Windows Defender (such as Avast, AVG, Malwarebytes, etc.), try temporarily disabling it or adding the Roblox installation folder to its "Exclusion List" or "Trust List".

    Best Regards,
