Hi all,

One of our employees has left the company, still signed into the company laptop. This laptop is not enrolled on Microsoft Intune, thus it cannot be factory reset remotely. We did not realise the gravity of this issue until recently (after 7 months) that we cannot enrol on Microsoft Identity and Intune as the administrative privileges are still held by the former employee.

Other users can still login to the device using the company credentials, but do not have any administrative privileges to download, uninstall software and to enrol the device to Intune.

There are no important files and folders saved on the local hard drive, so we are happy to refresh the device. But would like to avoid the USB factory reset procedure to the very last step.

Thank you in advance.

Erasing the system and reinstalling the OS from a USB is the only valid course of action.
