Hello Vito001,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community!
I understand that you are experiencing Edge not working properly, and I understand your frustration with this.
Thank you for the fix action you are attempting in this issue which helped us narrow down the problem, I noticed that other browsers are not network limited and the problem does not seem to be related to apps and extensions,.
- If a network issue is causing the problem, you can try the following options:
Resetting the Winsock directory can help fix network connection failures due to network misconfiguration, malware, or other issues.
You can follow these steps
Right-click on the Start icon and select "Command Prompt (Administrator)"; open the Command Prompt and enter the following command.
netsh winsock reset
Press enter to reset the Winsock directory.
- You can also try to change the DNS server.
Replacing the DNS servers can improve the speed, security and accessibility of your Internet connection, as follows:
Win + Q to open the search box, enter 'ncpa. cpl', press Enter to open the "Network Connections" window, select your network adapter, right-click --- " Properties", double click "Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IP)", then Set Predderred DNS server to 4.2.2.1,and set Alternate DNS server to 4.2.2.2
- You can try creating a new account on your computer to test if the user profile is causing the issue.
After creating the new account, log in to the new account to test it. If you can use the system normally after logging in to the new account, it means that there is indeed a problem with the profile of your user account, and you may need to consider the operation of repairing the account profile.
For steps on how to create a new account and how to fix the account configuration file, please refer to the linked document:

- Scan with the System File Checker (SFC):
You may consider trying to run the System File Checker (sfc /scannow) to repair possible corruption. Please refer to this document link for specific steps:

- I recommend that you try a clean boot, which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, in order to check for interfering programs in the background, as described in the following link:
How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support
If the situation disappears after a clean boot, you can find the specific interfering application and uninstall it.
These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.
If the above steps do not solve your problem, please reply to me and I will provide you with further analysis and assistance. I will continue to monitor the progress of this issue and if convenient, please share with me the progress of this issue. Looking forward to your reply. Wish you all the best!
