Press ESC to exit Fullscreen Won't Go Away

When I watch a video on any site fullscreen the "Press ESC to exit Fullscreen" will not fade away. This is something that I can recreate 100 out of 100 times.

When I exit fullscreen, I will also get a notification telling me how to enter Fullscreen. That will go away after 5-6 seconds.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

Has this problem always occurred or has it started recently?

Could you check if using Edge in InPrivate mode the same error happens? To enter InPrivate mode use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + n

Did you even test if this also occurs in other browsers?

    Hey Anderson,

Yes, it happens in Microsoft Edge private window.

It does not happen in any other browser. It doesn't even happen in Chrome.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback. Has this problem always occurred or has it started recently?

If it's a recent issue my first suggestion is that you uninstall the browser and then reinstall it.

    Hello KhiryAnathony,

How to completely remove Microsoft Edge from Mac (thewindowsclub.com)

Please follow this guide from Windows Club as it will help you clear any remaining files in Edge so you will have a fresh install of Edge.

After you cleraed and empty the recyling bin.

Restart computer and redownload using Microsoft.com/edge, please choose Intel or M1 depending on your computer.

If it still not resolved, I would recommend sending feedback to the team, click the 3 dots in Edge, help feedback, send feedback.

You could try if one of the insider channels fixes the issue,

There is a contact support in Edge Insider,

Let me know if this fixes it.

    Shawn
