It would actually be a lot more helpful if Advisors actually checked to see if the answers are even possible before answering. The problem is in Windows 11 forcing passkeys. Edge has no settings in flags or anywhere else to disable this.

There has been an issue with frequent Windows security prompts requesting to create a passkey when logging into portals, such as Amazon. What steps can be taken to disable this feature? It has become quite annoying.

I just want the pop up to go away if Bluetooth is turned off. I dont leave it on and could care less if there is some Windows password option in Edge that needs it I don't use either.

-Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and turn off “Only allow Windows Hello sign-in”.
-In Edge, type
edge://flags, search for Web Authentication, and disable it.-You can also check Settings > Accounts > Passkeys to remove any saved passkeys.

I found the following that was set to "default":
Passkey roaming
Edge is providing passkey functionality as passkey providerand will sync saved passkey across devices. – Windows
...however I don't know if disabling it will stop the problem of pages prompting me to create passkeys. I have zero passkeys and zero wish to participate in whatever nonsense this is. I want passkeys to 100% leave me alone forever. Is there an option in Edge to make it stop prompting me to create one on Microsoft or Amazon or any other site that pops up the annoying thing and forces me to click skip several times before whining that it failed to create a passkey? I'm disabling it... so we'll see if it works or not.
