There has been an issue with frequent Windows security prompts requesting to create a passkey when logging into portals, such as Amazon. What steps can be taken to disable this feature? It has become quite annoying.

It would actually be a lot more helpful if Advisors actually checked to see if the answers are even possible before answering. The problem is in Windows 11 forcing passkeys. Edge has no settings in flags or anywhere else to disable this.

    Hi Sara,

I'm Cherrelyn and I'm here to help.

    Please try these suggestion:

-Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and turn off “Only allow Windows Hello sign-in”.

-In Edge, type edge://flags, search for Web Authentication, and disable it.

-You can also check Settings > Accounts > Passkeys to remove any saved passkeys.

Let me know about my suggestion, I'm here to guide you for further assistance.

    Warm regards,

    Cherrelyn
