Upgrading Microsoft Surface Studio (first generation)

I'd like to upgrade my PC from 16GB to 32 and also to a 5TB hard drive.  Does anyone know if this can be done (without breaking the bank) and are there issues I should be aware of?  I have no idea which kind of RAM and hard drive to buy.   I use Photoshop and Lightroom Classic and have lots of photos.  I would rather upgrade the hard drive than buy more external hard drives.  Thanks for any feedback provided.

    Hi Marilyn Silver,

The RAM and the SSD of your Surface Studio can't easily be taken out and replace it with higher RAM and SSD capacity. If you sort out of buying a RAM and hard drive and would allow a technician to customize this for you, know that this will void the device warranty; and if in case the device will stop working, you are unable to have it replaced under its warranty nor get an out of warranty replacement. So in this case, what I can highly recommend is to contact our Microsoft Store and Sales Support>> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/28808/microsoft-store-contact-support to check if there's an option for you to trade-in the device for a Surface Studio with higher configuration and add a certain amount of money on top of the device you'll get if trade-in will be made possible.

    Kind Regards,

    Crest
