Surface Studio won't turn on - is it fixable?

I have a Surface Studio desktop purchased from Microsoft online in Sept. 2017. When I went to turn it on, 7/21/23, nothing happened. Tried unplugging, and a hard reset...nothing worked. Took it to an computer specialist and he could hear a click but no power. He ordered a new power supply, and replacing that didn't work. He told me if not that, then it's the motherboard which is not fixable, recommended that I buy a new system. Is that true or is this something that might be fixable if returned to Microsoft?

And if not fixable, is it even worth putting the system back together? Which will cost me more money. Or should I just scrap the system for parts? Or...?

Any help...ASAP...appreciated!

    Hi Michelle1111z,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your Surface Studio (1stgen) that it is not turning on anymore. Considering that you have done all troubleshooting needed including taking the device to a technician and replacing the power supply, we can conclude that this is already a hardware issue on the device. However, for service or replacement, I'm sorry to inform you that Surface Studio (1stgen) is already discontinued and thus, we no longer have any service or replacement option available for the device even the paid out-of-warranty replacement option is no longer offered.

    Kind regards,
    Marrion
