Questions about ad position and bids

I am puzzled about something. In Bing Ads console I get the message "below first page" Then estimated first page bid amount. For example say I have a bid on a longtail keyword of $0.50 cents. Bing says it is below first page. First page estimate is $3.35. BUT when I go to Bing and put my longtail keyword, there my ad is either the very top, in 2nd place or possibly on the RH sidebar.

I don't get it. I was automatically adjusting bids based on the estimate, but now I check every time first, which is a pain in the you know what. Why is Bing giving me incorrect information? The above scenario has happened several times, so I know it is not just some fluke.

I remember one of these notices, the first page bid estimate was $27 and my bid was $0.70. I checked and my ad was on the top slot second place. I had to see who was paying that outrageous amount, and that was when I was alerted to Bing giving me incorrect information about the placement where my ads are actually showing up.

Thanks

    Hi PluginForage ,

Thank you for contacting Bing Ads Support. I would recommend running a time range report maybe last 7 days for the publishers report and see where you ads place with the different syndicated partners that we have.  Also you may run Auctions Insightunder the keywords Tab "Details" then "all" and that can show you where your business is and the competitors for optimization purposes.  A competitor may be Bidding hire by time of day, targeting, product, age & **** or device. Please contact our Support team via chat or call 1-800-518-5689.

'long tail keyword' by that you mean not topical?? And like the other expert alluded too, this type of keyword may be more popular over time. That you saw your own ad repeatedly isn't the best sampling..otherwise enjoy it.
