How can I change name of a Static Web App?

I created a Static Web App.
How can I change the name of it once after create one?
I can not find a menu to do it.

    Gosh this is dumb. I just want to rename the thing so it makes sense.

    Nope. Gotta delete the whole thing, break everything, rebuild everything.

    Hi @Toshiya TSURU ,

    You can't. As far as the app service name, you have the delete your resource and create a new one with the name you want. If you're referring to how your static website is resolved through DNS i.e. some-random-name.azurewebsites.net, this is auto generated, and you will need to add a custom domain to your static web app.

    As at 2025, you are not able to rename the static web app.

    However, what you can do is to redeploy the application with the correct name. If you've got a custom domain, just reroute it to the new static web app. Nothing would break.
